The real reason for the season

The most wonderful time of the year folks. The lights, the music, the family, the movies, the gifts, the food. Just everything! There's just something about the Christmas season that makes me so giddy. I still get the same feeling I did when I was five or six. To this day I can barely sleep on Christmas Eve. I get to see family members that I haven't seen for the entire year on Christmas. It's a great feeling when everyone comes together.

But what's the real reason for this season? Jesus Christ! It's interesting that Christmas is pronounced (chris-mus) and not (christ-mus). I always wondered why that dichotomy existed. But anyways, people do forget that December 25 is Jesus's birthday, or at least what was said to be. Many of us get so involved in buying gifts, putting up Christmas lights, etc., that we forget the real reason for the season. Reflect and don't forget about the real reason for the season this year!
